The advantage of fiber optic

Fiber optic cable is a cable network that can transmit light. Compared with other types of cable, this cable is more expensive. However, the advantages of fiber optics are numerous; including optical fiber has a more distant range from 550 meters up to hundreds of kilometres, resistant to electromagnetic interference and can transmit data at higher speeds than other cable types.

Fiber optic cables do not carry electrical signals, such as other cables using copper wires. Instead, the signals that represent bits are converted to the form of light. Fiber optic cable consists of two types, known as single mode and multi mode. Single mode cable can reach a longer distance and only send one signal at a time. Multimode cable sends a different signal at the same time, transmit data at different refraction angles at the same time, and transmit data at different refraction shrinkage. Single mode cable to reach hundreds of kilometres while multimode cable is usually only reaches 550 meters or less. Fiber optic cable connector consists of two types of ST connector model of ring shaped and square shaped SC connectors. Use this cable to be adjusted to the type of device you are using because they may be different.

  1. Nice and informative post. Optical fiber is a good substitute to the common electrical wires used. The cost hike is worth the benefits it provides.

  2. groovy information about fiber optics, much research is available for the utility of communication and it"s innovations. as I read these articles it occurred to me that that sciences of redox signaling, bode plotting and the improving technologies of nutrition/medical sciences are making use of networks similar to these. Awsome. thanks

  8. Great description of fiber optics. The fiber optic technology is definitely superior to many of the other technologies used to transmit data at this time.

  9. I think fiber optic is the beat when it comes to dsl internet.and they also very fast in data transfer and are very good in saving data loss as well.

  10. Fiber Optics seems the better way to go. I did see where you said that is resistant to electromagnet interference, does that mean that it works better during bad weather?
